Bambajam was designed and created by jazz pianist & educator Duncan McKee. He spent 10 years researching and developing the methodology behind the programmes and has worked with some of the worlds leading schools, universities and organisations.
Duncan’s belief is that music extends much further than the arts and has the collaborative power to develop many additional skills including leadership, creativity and group problem solving.
Duncan is a performing jazz musician and has shared the stage with many of the worlds leading musicians including Micheal Bolton, Dale Barlow (Art Blakey) and Glen Tilbrook, to name a few. He is also a world renowned speaker on music & leadership and has worked with most of the worlds leading organisations to help their teams work more effectively together. These include Google, Microsoft and 70% of the Fortune 100’s.
Duncan has taught at a number of schools and is currently on the faculty at Green School, Bali where he teaches Bambajam. Green School has been voted year-after-year as the greenest school on earth and was described by Ban Ke Moon, Secretary General of the United Nations, as the best school he has visited.
Duncan is a passionate jazz educator and has taught hundred of students from around the world including UK’s highest paid jazz pianist Jamie Cullum. He is also a composer for television and scores arrangements for major networks such as HBO and The Discovery Channel.
